Welcome to 2021

Welcome to 2021

When we set up Chameleon PDE, last February we could not have anticipated what the next year would hold. Like everyone else we were hoping that the new year would be the start of a bit more normality for schools, but unfortunately this is not the case.

Over the course of 2020 we produced two free lesson packs to support teachers deliver sessions to help address the impact of the pandemic on children and young people and many teachers from primary, secondary and 6th form successfully used the materials with their students.

As we welcome you to 2021, we have just completed, once again, materials that are very much Covid related. This time we have produced a lesson pack to support the students who would have been expecting to sit exams in 2021, and the exams have now been cancelled.

We have designed the lessons to be “online learning” friendly and also broken up the activities to enable you to easily send them home to be completed individually by students.

There is a pack for age 15-16 students and another for 17-18 year olds. Once again, we are offering the materials completely free of charge.

If you have already signed up to Chameleon PDE, you can simply go to the website and download the “Coping with Covid” packs. If you are new to Chameleon PDE, simply register with us to access this resource as well as any of our other free resources.

For the first time we are also offering students direct access to an information and advice sheet. Students complete a very short survey which gives them a link to the information sheets. If you would like to share the link with your students you can copy and paste this link: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/copingwithcovid19/.

We would also encourage you to have a look at our very comprehensive personal development programme that is fully cross-referenced to the personal development curricula of all 4 UK nations, is fully editable and meets the new English Statutory Guidance that schools are expected to follow from the summer term.

Do get in touch if you have any questions or we can support you in any way. Best of luck with the challenges of the coming weeks and months.
