Ages 11-12 : Families

Family relationships is a requirement of statutory Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) in England and also mandatory in Wales and Scotland. This pack offers a gentle introduction to family diversity, roles, responsibilities and family qualities /values that you will build on to teach more challenging topics in higher year groups.  Families can be a sensitive topic for some students, and care has been taken to ensure the activities are inclusive of the wide variety of family backgrounds in school. There is a short video to share some different types of families.
