Help children understand and manage friendships

Year 1 (age 5-6) : Helpful & unhelpful friends

This pack considers age-appropriately the qualities of friendship and what might be considered to be an unhelpful friendship. Concepts of power and control are introduced through scenarios for the children to discuss and be the 'advice givers'. This is a longer session that you may wish to deliver over 2 lessons or not use all slides.  For example, use fewer of the scenarios in activity 3. Activities include.
