What should I teach about romantic relationships as part of PSHE / RSE ?

Ages 14-16 : Stages of a romantic relationship

From September 2020 all schools must consider statutory guidance when teaching relationships, sex and health education, and this includes teaching pupils about romantic and intimate relationships, and how to manage relationship change. This teaching pack helps students to explore how intimate relationships can experience change and how it can be managed. The flexible activities also consider relationship values and the benefits of long-term stable commitment. If you are looking to cover multiple elements of statutory Relationships Education, the activities in this pack can be used within tutor delivery, drop down days or in a timetabled curriculum slot in school.

This pack contains the following activities:

  • Stages of a romantic relationship
  • Relationship values - young to old
  • Break up : do's and don'ts
