What do schools need to teach about family life?

Ages 12-13 : Family disputes

Schools are required to teach about types of relationships, marriage and parenting as part of new statutory RSE requirements, so we are pleased to be adding this pack about family disputes/ arguments to our PSHE resource library for schools. It is worth noting the content of these activities focus on disputes between parents/carers and their children, and sibling arguments. This pack does not cover disagreement between parents, separation and divorce, abusive relationships, and different types of family/ partnerships which are addressed in other packs within the Chameleon PDE resource library. This pack also considers strategies for managing family disagreements that support healthy and respectful relationships.

This pack contains the following activities:

  • It's not fair!
  • Sibling arguments
  • Is it worth it?
  • Celebrity families
  • Dealing with arguments
  • Middle-ground
  • Squabble

This resource includes the following files:
