Is pregnancy a compulsory topic in secondary schools?

Sex education is now mandatory in all UK schools and this includes teaching pupils about conception, fertility, childbirth and pregnancy choices including termination and adoption. This teaching pack covers some of these issues but is only 'light touch' about termination, which is covered in more detail in the Unintended Pregnancy pack for ages 13-14.
