Helping students understand the potential emergencies associated with alcohol and/or drug misuse

In this pack, we have aimed to give students lots of opportunities to identify potential risks that may result in emergencies, consider how risks
can be mitigated, and make suggestions about what to do in an emergency involving drugs and/or alcohol. This approach helps students come to their own conclusions and makes the lesson more meaningful and memorable compared to presenting the 'answers' to them. Students often tell us that they would like more first aid included in their PSHE, and this session includes first aid knowledge with alcohol and drug education. This pack contains the following activities:
