Are you looking for an easy to teach lesson plan about First Aid?

Ages 12-13 : Emergency (First) Aid

This pack, written for non-specialist teachers in mind allows students to have valuable and enjoyable lessons focused on first aid. Teachers are not expected to demonstrate CPR or the use of a defibrillator (which can be a confidence barrier for some), although both these topics are covered thoroughly in the pack activities. If schools wish to give students hands on experience of CPR we would recommend lessons are supported by a qualified first aider from within the school or using an organisation such as St John's Ambulance. This pack contains the following activities:

  • Calling for an ambulance
  • What's an emergency?
  • DR ABC
  • The Recovery Position
  • CPR and Defibrillators
  • What would you do?
  • Teaching First Aid in Primary Schools

This resource includes the following files:
  • Ages 12-13 Emergency (First) Aid V2 Jan 22
Lesson plans are flexible allowing for differentiation and the accompanying PowerPoint presentations can be edited according to your needs.
