This lesson includes cultural values and respect alongside important safety messages

Ages 14-16 : Faith, culture, values, sex & relationships (includes virginity testing & hymenoplasty)

This pack offers activities where students can debate topical issues around sex and relationships, see other perspectives and challenge their own thinking It also considers the legal position in relation to virginity testing and hymenoplasty. Video content supports the lesson pack and aids facilitation. We suggest a different running order, and you may wish to deliver this lesson pack over two sessions, as it covers many RSHE criteria. We have moved this lesson pack from the Skills, values and responsibilities theme to Safety, on and offline. It can comfortably sit in either, or in relationships and sex education; however, we felt the safety elements should be highlighted in the revised pack.

There is no challenge activity in this pack.
