Help your students understand the power of words, recognise negative thoughts and understand more about what impacts mental health

Ages 14-16 : Little things, big impacts

These materials help students understand why negative and positive language (and actions) can impact self-esteem and mental health. Students are introduced to some simple neuroscience, the concept of negative automatic thoughts and how to manage them. There is also a focus on barriers to seeking help with a mental health issue. Video content supports facilitation and helps cover content more efficiently. The pack includes the following activities and ideally would be delivered over 2 or more sessions.
