Help your students learn about what to do in emergency situations

Ages 14-16 : Emergency first aid

One of the topics that students always tell us they want more of when completing the 'How Are You?' survey is first aid. These materials cover various emergencies where first aid and contacting emergency services may be required. This includes the recovery position, CPR and use of defibrillators. Students are also asked to consider their safety in an emergency and how to assess what, if any, first aid should be administered. Ideally, first aid should be taught practically, and these materials could also be used to supplement any practical sessions you have arranged for your students. There are 120 minutes of activity choices, a fully editable PowerPoint and a home learning resource. Videos support this session, and there is additional video material in the library you may wish to use. The activities in the pack include:

Take 10 Activity 1 - Emergency or not?
Take 10 Activity 2 - Risks & mitigation
Take 10 Activity 3 -What do you want to know?
Take 20 Activity 1 - First aid, what would you do?
