How do I teach about misogyny without alienating boys? Material updated with new video content

Ages 11-18 : Misogyny, causes and consequences

This pack is aimed at 11-14-year-olds; however, it is also suitable for older students, and we have therefore included it in all secondary subscriptions.

There are additional teaching notes with this pack, and we strongly recommend that all teachers delivering this controversial and sensitive topic are made aware of all supporting material. We aim to use best practice approaches that will not vilify or 'turn off' boys from engaging in discussion and debate. This pack has been placed in the relationships & sex education theme; however, it is equally relevant in relation to keeping safe, personal skills development & values, rights and responsibilities. This pack includes the following activities:

Take 10 Activity 1 -Define misogyny
Take 10 Activity 2 - The power of algorithms (Video content)
Take 10 Activity 3 - Feminism rights & wrongs (Video content)
Take 20 Activity 1 - How does she feel? (Video content)
Take 20 Activity 2 - Challenging misogynistic influencers (Video content)
Take 30 Activity - What makes a man?
